Founded by the Unison Group, DIT University (DITU), was established in the year 1998 with the name of Dehradun Institute of Technology. DIT got its status of State Private University in 2013 approved by the UGC and has successfully bagged NIRF 2020 Engineering Ranking, positioning itself in the League of Top Engineering Universities across India. Dehradun is one of the oldest cities in India. In the Vedic times, the Garhwal Mandal, of which Dehradun is a part, was known as the Kedar Khand. Legend has it that Guru Dronacharaya, a Brahmin teacher of warfare, considered Dehradun a place fit for meditation.
Student’s choice award is a measure to find – Educational Institutes which are admired by students and inspire generations. The focus of this award would be New Age Educational Institutes that give preference to New age methodology of grooming knowledge workers and prioritizes induction of
21st Century Skills in its students.
