The Institute was established in the year 1998, as Department of Business Administration of NMAMIT, was designated as Justice K. S. Hegde Institute of Management (JKSHIM) in the year 2006. This premier Institute is named after the great visionary and founder of the Nitte Group of Institutions. Late Justice K. S. Hegde was the former Judge of the Supreme Court and former Speaker of the Loksabha. The Institute offers a two-year full-time MBA program recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is now a constituent unit of the Nitte (Deemed to be) University.
