Saintgits Institute of Management was established in 2006. The campus of the institute spreads over an area of 6 acres of land. SIM Kottayam is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Saintgits Institute of Management is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram. The institute offers M.B.A and Ph.D Management programmes. The programmes are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
